Acupuncture
Acupuncture has been practiced for thousands of years in China. It is a safe technique provided that practitioners are properly trained and follow appropriate techniques. Most patients find that the treatments are relaxing and cause minimal discomfort. The acupuncture needles are inserted through the skin at specific points (acupoints) on the body.

Electroacupuncture is a form of acupuncture where a small electric current is passed between pairs of acupuncture needles. Scientific evidence found it was effective for chemotherapy-induced nausea or vomiting, hyperemesis gravidarum during pregnancy, post stroke rehabilitation and etc.

How does acupuncture work?

Hence, acupuncture works by restoring and enhancing the flow of Qi and Blood along the meridians, hence improving circulation, thus treating illnesses, alleviate pain, relieve stress and enhance functions of our body systems.

Several theories using a scientific explanation were published on how does the acupuncture work. Generally, acupuncture stimulation sends the messages to the tissues and nerves in our body causing the biochemistry changes of the body which finally improve our body system.
